Olcott Beach re-opened by county health officials

Niagara Gazette —

Olcott Beach is safe to swim again, the Niagara County Health Department announced Saturday.

Follow-up water testing conducted Friday shows water quality is suitable, so the no-swim advisory was lifted.

The beaches at Camp Kenan, Barker, and Wilson Tuscarora State Park remain closed, meaning there is no access to the beach, sand or water, due to higher-than-acceptable levels of E. Coli bacteria.

The beaches are subject to partial or full closing based on the results of weekly water testing.

The health department's Niagara County beach report, which is updated regularly, can be viewed at

Yes. Items should be taxed like they are everywhere else.
No, the indian reservations are sovereign land and they are selling them on their land.
Not up to me. Native Americans decide the rules on their land.
Don't care. Smoking isn't good for you.
