Niagara County residents invited to complete online health survey

Niagara Gazette — Niagara County residents are being asked to help their health department figure out how to improve local health care.

The department is running its 2013 Niagara County Community Health Assessment Survey online, at www.surveymonkey.com/s/NiagaraCountyHealth, until late May.

All residents are invited to complete the confidential survey, which consists of 16 questions takes and about 10 to 15 minutes. The survey inquires generically about respondents' lifestyles, current health and perceptions of wellness.

Community Health Assessments are done by all county health departments in New York every four years. They provide a snapshot of a given population's health-and-wellness strengths and needs. Local health departments are pushed by the state to partner with community groups and meet some of the needs.
