Niagara Gazette — A popular store in Elma that specializes in made in America products will soon be adding a second location in the city of Niagara Falls.

Mark Andol, owner of the Made in America store on Maple Road in Elma, plans to open his newest location inside the One Niagara building downtown.

"Over the last few years, I've conducted site visits to other states to consider prospective locations for additional brick and mortar Made in America stores," said Andol in a release announcing plans for the new store. "Surprisingly, all roads led me to my backyard - Niagara Falls - the premier tourist destination in our region.

"Combining the Niagara Falls brand with the Made in America brand makes sense," Andol continued. "The world already comes to Niagara Falls. Now we're giving the world an opportunity to take home a piece of America by buying souvenirs whose raw materials, labor and packaging are 100 percent American made."

Andol's Elma shop opened on April 3, 2010 and specializes in 100 percent American made products, including toys, clothing, groceries, hardware, home items, beauty supplies and more.

Sue Shotwell, a spokesperson for the Made in America store, said the Falls location will occupy about 2,000 square feet on the second level of the One Niagara building, 360 Rainbow Blvd. She said a "soft" opening for the Niagara Falls location is scheduled for Tuesday, with a grand opening planned for April 20.
