Pedestrian killed in Kenmore

Niagara Gazette — TOWN OF TONAWANDA — A car struck two pedestrians as they were crossing Kenmore Avenue Thursday night, killing a 52-year-old woman and injuring a 55-year-old man.

Edward Spencer, 82, was driving his 2013 Toyota Corolla when he made a left turn out of a parking lot located at 416 Kenmore Ave. at about 4:55 p.m. He struck the two victims, who were crossing the street at 465 Kenmore, near Budwey’s Supermarket.

Sandra Garner, of Buffalo, died in the Erie County Medical Center at about 10 p.m, and Kevin Nowak, 55, was hospitalized with injures he sustained in the accident.

No charges have been filed and an investigation is underway, according to Town of Tonawanda Police.
