Suspicious package being investigated at Carnegie Building

NIAGARA FALLS — Niagara Falls Police and the New York State Police bomb squad is currently investigating a suspicious package at the Carnegie Building on Main Street.

The bomb squad's "robot" is currently being used to get a closer look at a backpack left on the front steps of the building, near the main entrance.

The block in front of building has been closed off by police.

Police officials had no comment as the scene was unfolding.
