PORTER —

Donald D. Moulden, 48, 3431 East Ave., was charged with felony driving with intoxicated, felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, DWI and unlicensed operation of motor vehicle about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.

A deputy parked on Youngstown-Lockport Road, between Creek Road and East Avenue, conducting traffic enforcement due to complaints of speeding in the area, saw Moulden driving a pickup.

The deputy said he was familiar with Moulden and performed a computer check which showed Moulden's driver's license is revoked for eight suspensions, including two convictions of DWI, in 2003 and 2008.

The deputy then tried to pull Moulden over but he continued driving to his driveway on East Avenue. Once stopped, the deputy said Moulden appeared intoxicated and he failed field sobriety tests.

Moulden submitted to a breath test and he did test positive for the presence of alcohol but he refused a chemical test.

Moulden was charged and remanded to Niagara County Jail due to the felony DWI charge.
