Cop sentenced for giving police info to biker
A former police detective is heading to prison for sharing police information about a motorcycle gang with a rival group.
Former Hamburg Det. Laurie Staley-Stone was given a four-month sentence in federal court in Buffalo Tuesday. She pleaded guilty in August to a charge related to misusing information from the National Crime Information Center Computer.
Her attorney, Joel Daniels, says the former officer gave some mug shots of a Kingsmen gang member to a member of the Chosen Few who had been a confidential informant to her.
As part of the plea, the 44-year-old Staley-Stone retired from the police but will keep her pension. Staley-Stone was the first woman detective in the history of the town of Hamburg Police.

Three teens charged in concrete beating
Buffalo police say three teenagers have admitted to severely beating an 18-year-old with a piece of concrete over the summer in a case that stirred fears of a hate crime.
But police now say the attack was a senseless act of violence.
Brian Milligan, who is white, suffered serious injuries in the street attack in August that witnesses said involved 10 to 12 young black men.
On Tuesday, authorities said those numbers were exaggerated and that some people may have been spectators. Police say 18-year-old Donte Lee, his 16-year-old brother, Antoine Blockmon, and a 13-year-old admitted to the crime following tips from the public. They’re charged with gang assault.

• ASSAULT: Falls Police are looking for a suspect in an assault in the 1100 block of Garden Avenue. A 52-year-old woman told officers a man approached her at 10:30 p.m. Monday and tried to take her bike, When she resisted, the victim said the man punched her in the face.
• ARRESTS: Two Falls women were arrested after they left a 2-year-old child home alone. Jamika M. Hunter, 19, 930 Niagara Ave., Apt. 12 and Dominique Latrice Hunter, 20, 930 Niagara Ave., Apt. 12, were each charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
