City of Tonawanda Police have positively identified the body found Monday in the Niagara River, off of Niawanda Park.

Roudy Delbrune, 36, of 209 Grote St., Buffalo, was reported missing May 1. An acquaintance said she found a letter in her mailbox Sept. 26 in which Delbrune apologizes for his mistakes and tells everyone that he loves them and that those would be his final words.

The acquaintance said she would notify Delbrune’s wife, who lives in New Jersey.

A family boating on the river located the body just before 1:30 p.m. Monday.
