McDonalds order error drives man to vandalism
A Gasport man was charged after driving into the order box outside the McDonalds on Lockport-Olcott Road after the restaurant gave him the wrong order.
Wayne R. Freeman, 29, 3638 Orangeport Road, Apt. 5, was charged Wednesday night with third-degree criminal mischief and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
Freeman went through the drive-thru at McDonalds, located in Wrights Corners, about 10:48 p.m. and then walked into the building, irate with employees about the accuracy of his order.
Freeman told an employee, “I’m gonna trash this place.” He then got into his car, spun the tires and drove into the drive-thru’s order box, causing about $1,000 in damage.
The incident was captured on surveillance video.
Deputies looked at the surveillance video and later found Freeman at his home, where he admitted to causing the damage. He blamed his actions on his “short temper” and repeated errors with his orders at that McDonalds in the past.

The victim said a book bag with three text books inside was taken.

The employee said the questions seemed generic, and the man seemed uninterested in the answers, so she left him and returned to the register. There, she saw the second man with a pair of scissors in his hand, holding the cash register upside-down. When the employee threatened to call police, the second man insisted he was looking for a phone book, but then fled the scene. The first man said he was not involved in the incident, but fled the scene before deputies arrived. He is described as a black male in his late 30s, with a large build, wearing black boots, jeans and a sweatshirt. The second man is described as a while male in his late 30s, about 5-feet-7 with a medium build and short hair, wearing wire-rimmed glasses, jeans, a blue cotton shirt and a baseball cap. The damage to the cash register was estimated at $200, the report said. The scissors were left at the scene.

Hens allegedly opened the glove compartment and stole a check out of the man’s checkbook.
LANDLORD DISPUTE: A Laurelwood Avenue woman told deputies Thursday her landlord entered her trailer without her permission about 8:33 a.m. and walked in on her while she was undressed. The landlord told deputies he was “trying to get a payment.” Deputies informed him he was in violation of real property law and told him to leave, the report said.
