NIAGARA FALLS

Four charged

in drug bust

Niagara Falls police arrested four suspects late Friday in a drug bust after finding a large quantity of marijuana, crack cocaine and two guns in a Pierce Avenue apartment.

The four suspects charged with two counts of criminal possession of marijuana, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana are Lawrence E. Smith, 19, 3222 Dudley Ave.; Antwan L. Rose, 24, 17 Walnut Ave., Apt. 2; and Kenya M. Spencer, 21, and Naficia A. Wallace, 19, both of 1526 Pierce Ave., Apt. 1.

On a search warrant, police entered 1526 Pierce Ave. and found 43 small baggies of marijuana totaling 25 grams, a bottle containing 52 Darvocets and 500 milligrams of crack cocaine, according to the police report. Two guns, a .22-caliber revolver and a .22-caliber rifle also were found.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending, according to police.

Niagara Falls

• HOME INVASION: A Niagara Falls woman along the 2000 block on Orleans Avenue was held to the floor in her kitchen while she was robbed, according to police reports. At 10:12 p.m. Friday, the woman reported a knock at her door. When she answered, a black male in his late teens to early 20s pushed through and grabbed her by her hair. As she was held down, two men rummaged through her apartment, taking her cell phone and a safe. The woman’s 2-year-old daughter was asleep during the incident, according to reports.

• HARASSMENT: A Niagara Falls man reported being harassed by wife, whom he is separated from, in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Around 4:42 a.m., the woman reportedly propped a ladder against his house along 91st Street and climbed into his bedroom window. The man was woken up when she crawled on his bed and started searching throughout his room for another woman, the man reported to police. She fled the scene before police arrived.

• SHOPLIFTING: Latonia M. Tyler, 28, 456 Sixth St., was charged at 7:44 p.m. Friday with petit larceny for attempting to steal a $4.74 bottle of body spray at the Tops on Portage Road.

Cambria

• CHARGED: Shawn Darnell Thomas, 37, 519 Woodbine Ave., Rochester, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and an equipment violation. Thomas was stopped at 3 a.m. Saturday on Saunders Settlement Road for having with no functional rear license plate lights. His driver’s license was suspended for failure to pay child support. It was discovered Thomas was wanted on a warrant issued by Niagara Falls for second-degree assault, fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree harassment. He was turned over to the Niagara Falls Police Department and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Cambria Court.

Lewiston

• VEHICULAR ASSAULT: Two Niagara Falls residents were injured while driving south on Walmore Road near Mount Hope Road at 12:10 a.m. Saturday. The victims reported a vehicle began to tailgate them and hit the Toyota from behind. The force of the collision caused the driver to lose control of the car, travel through the ditch on the west side of the road, roll over several times and come to a rest on its tires. The driver was able to drive the car to a nearby residence to call for assistance and the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Department responded. The driver and passenger were treated at the scene and transported to Mount Saint Mary’s Hospital for further evaluation.
