n GRAND LARCENY: A Whirlpool Street resident reported to police between Monday and Friday more than $50,000 worth of property was stolen from her home. Police observed the residence’s front door had been pried open. A suitcase containing nearly $50,000 worth of silver, gold and other jewelry was taken from the home. Other stolen items included a flat-screen television, DVD player, microwave, lamp and toaster. The victim reported her car keys also had been taken. Although her car was not stolen, it appeared to have been driven while the victim was away, according to the police report.
n GANG ASSAULT: Around 12:38 a.m. Saturday, police received a report of a man severely beaten. Police responded to the scene along Ontario Avenue and found the 20-year-old victim covered in blood and barely able to speak, according to reports. Witnesses told police it was unclear how or why the incident started, by as many as 30 men were involved in the attack on the victim. An ambulance transported the victim to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
n STABBING: Sometime before 9 p.m. Friday, police responded to a call of a stabbing incident. According to the victim, her friend was arguing with another female and chased her with a steak knife. The victim grabbed her friend to prevent her from attacking the other girl and was accidentally stabbed, the police report said. Police observed a laceration about 5 inches long on the victim’s arm. She was transported to Niagara Falls Medical Center for treatment.
n FIGHTING: Marcus V. Pea, 22, 608 Elmwood Ave., apt. 1-2, was charged at 2:10 a.m. Saturday with disorderly conduct and criminal possession of a weapon. Police responded to a call of a fight on Hyde Park where they told the men to leave the scene. Pea refused and was arrested for disorderly conduct, according to the police report. Pea was allegedly found to be possessing a knife and a homemade billy club.
n ASSAULT: According to police reports, a little after 8 p.m. Friday, a 64-year-old woman and her friend were at the park along Lockport Street when they told a group of juveniles they were too old to be playing on the playground equipment. After a heated exchange between the two women and the youths, police were called in and directed the juveniles to leave the scene. A short time thereafter, they returned with an adult who argued with the 64-year-old woman and punched her in the face. The victim suffers from heart problems and felt ill after the incident and was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
n DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Michael H. Cannova, 46, 621 39 St., was charged at 11:06 p.m. Friday with disorderly conduct. Police observed Cannova allegedly riding a bicycle, weaving in and out of traffic, causing cars to halt and yelling at drivers. When police addressed Cannova, he yelled profanities at them, according to the police report. When police arrested him, Cannova allegedly told them, “I didn’t know you were cops. I just thought you were idiots.”

n ASSAULT: A 16-year-old Niagara Falls boy reported he was assaulted while walking in the area of Main and A streets in Cayuga Village on Friday evening. He said he was struck by an unknown person and fell to the ground. When he got up, he did not see anyone but noticed he was cut or stabbed several times on the hands, chest and side. According to the report, the victim was highly intoxicated and uncooperative. He was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital by Rural Metro for further treatment. An extensive check of the area revealed no evidence of the above incident.

n HARASSMENT: The patrol was dispatched to Ransomville Speedway on Brayley Road for a report of a harassment Friday evening. A track official reported two pit crew members from another team ran toward the car and began fighting with the driver. The victim was attempting to break the fight up and was struck in the face using both hands by the suspect. The victim suffered a split lip and began to bleed. The victim wished to pursue charges and will seek a warrant for the suspect’s arrest from Town of Porter Court. The suspect had been removed from the track by security and was not on location.
Ransomville
n WARRANT EXECUTION: Keith E. Blose, 24, no permanent address, was arrested on a warrant Friday evening at a Youngstown-Lockport Road house. According to the report, Blouse had a history of resisting arrest, fleeing and fighting with law enforcement. He was located on the porch and sprinted to the rear of the residence toward the woods. The patrol issued several canine warnings for Blose to stand still or the dog would be released. Blose complied and went flat on his stomach with his hands and legs spread out. He was secured by other officers without incident. Blose was turned over to parole for further processing.
