A Sheriff’s deputies who noticed a box of fireworks in a pickup during a traffic stop arrested the driver.

Stephen Geoffrey Boulden, 17, 6990 Creekview Drive, was charged Wednesday night with unlawful possession of fireworks.

Deputies stopped Boulden on Rapids Road about 11:43 p.m. after he passed a patrol car recklessly on Old Beattie Road.

During the traffic stop, deputies saw a cardboard box containing assorted fireworks in the back of Boulden’s pickup. A plastic bag containing fireworks was also found, the report said.
