Stopped at 70th Street and Niagara Falls Boulevard because he wasn’t wearing a seat belt, police discovered an open can of LaBatt’s Blue in Waterfield’s car. After failing field sobriety tests, he registered a .048 percent blood alcohol content in a breath test. Officers also found a Darvocet pill on Westfield.

• THEFT: A 44-year-old Frontier Avenue resident reported that sometime Monday night someone broke into a locked garage, pushed two ATVs outside and stole a $1,000 ATV snowplow. Police later stopped a car on 85th Street that had a similar plow in the trunk. The car’s occupants told police they had found it on 91st or 92nd streets. The matter is under investigation.

• HARASSMENT: Jerome H. Young Jr., 59 Independence Drive, Apt. 1, was charged Monday afternoon with third-degree menacing and second-degree harassment. An Independence Drive woman told police she argued with Young, her ex-boyfriend. During the argument, Young allegedly threw items around the bedroom and at the woman, who said she fled downstairs to the kitchen area. Young allegedly followed the woman downstairs, yelling and screaming, and grabbed her and threw her to the floor. As the woman was falling, she reportedly hit an iron kitchen rack on the counter. Young was held without bail and is due today in Lockport City Court.
• VANDALISM: Antoine A. Ewing, 35, 114 West Ave., Apt. 2, was charged Monday evening with third-degree criminal mischief. • DRUGS: Mitchell L. Whelan, 17, 11 Treehaven Drive, was charged Monday night with unlawful possession of marijuana. Officers on patrol stopped to investigate a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Railyard Skate Park on Corinthia Street. As they approached the car, officers could smell marijuana, the report said. The car's occupants denied having marijuana, but a check of the area yielded a brown cigar containing marijuana under the passenger side door. Whelan, a passenger, allegedly admitted the marijuana was his. He was released on an appearance ticket and is due April 22 in Lockport City Court.
