Our Lady of the Rosary Church will have a special prayer service for Jonathon Cote, an American hostage who is feared to be dead in Iraq.
Cote, a Getzville native, has relatives in Wilson. They asked the Rev. Robert Wozniak to do something for the family.
There will be private prayer from 12:30 to 3 p.m. At 3 p.m. a public service will be held at the church at 359 Lake St.
Our Lady of the Rosary will have a service for peace and prayers for Cote and his companions. Seven American contractors have been missing for more than a year. The remains of three hostages have been identified.
“We are trying to find God in the midst of chaos,” Wozniak said. “There will be a resolution to be peaceful people and prayers to bring about peace in our world.”
