A deputy spotted Salvalzo roll through a stop sign at Lockport and East Canal roads about 11:24 a.m.
During the traffic stop, deputies were notified of the arrest warrant and took Salvalzo into custody.
Inside the car, deputies found an open notebook which contained a list of women’s first names with a brief paragraph about each. Several other items in the vehicle were “sexual in nature” the report said.
LANCASTER
Man charged with promoting prostitution
Lancaster police have arrested a Lockport man in connection with a prostitution investigation.
Richard Tillotson, 53, was charged Thursday with promoting prostitution and obstructing governmental administration.
Tillotson was reportedly acting as a “lookout” for Heide Hahn, 23, of Munnsville, who made a deal with an undercover police officer to perform a sexual act in exchange for $130.
The officer contacted Hahn online through Craig’s List. Hahn was charged with prostitution, criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle.
ONTARIO
Suspect identified in Falls robbery
Niagara Regional Police have made an arrest in the robbery of a Niagara Falls, Ontario, credit union.
Joshua Edward Cowell, 31, of Niagara Falls, was charged with robbery, pointing a firearm, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Police say Cowell entered the credit union at 1:45 p.m. Friday armed with a sawed-off shotgun. He demanded money from two of the tellers and after receiving an undisclosed quantity of cash, fled the scene on foot.
Detectives, acting on information they received, along with the police K9 unit went to a home on Ailanthus Avenue looking for Cowell. When officers arrived, Cowell brandished his shotgun, then fled by jumping from a second-story balcony.
He was chased to a home on Hennepin Crescent where he finally surrendered to police.

The woman realized she was going to be late for work, and she said she threw her debit card down on her friend’s table and told her friend to “cut it up and throw it out.” A few days later, the woman received another letter from her bank saying a $300 withdrawal had been made from a drive-up ATM, and she was being charged more overdraft fees. With the help of the bank, the woman said she got a photo of the person who had used her card, and it was her friend.
