Niagara Gazette — The 35th annual Peach Festival 5K Run will start at 9 a.m. Saturday in front of the Key Bank on Center Street. Registration ($25) will begin at 7:45 a.m. at the bank. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Divine Mercy Food Pantry of Niagara and UNICEF-Project Eliminate.
Kiwanis Club President Jeff Sanderson has urged anyone planning to attend the events, especially the Sunday night stage show to come early and enjoy the festival grounds before the program starts. The festival will close at 10 p.m. Sunday.
Festival Chairman Randy Gorzka noted that all the profits from the annual event are reinvested in the community. He added: “For the past 10 years some $500,000 in goods and services have been contributed to more than 50 organizations throughout the Niagara County.”
