Lewiston police looking for hit-and-run vehicle

Police are looking for the public's help in locating a vehicle believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run accident involving a Modern Disposal worker early Monday. 

The Lewiston Police Department has issued an alert, seeking information about a silver or gray Ford Crown Victoria or Mercury Grand Marquis that was traveling eastbound in the 1700 block of Ridge Road around 9 a.m., Monday, when it struck a refuse worker on the roadside. 

According to police, the vehicle is missing its passenger side mirror. It is unknown if any other damage occurred. The male refuse worker who was struck during the incident was sent to Mt. St. Mary's for an apparent minor injury to his arm, police said.
