BLOTTER: Police reports published Dec. 16

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Officers are investigating a reported attempted burglary which occurred between 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday in the 2400 block of Ontario Avenue. The victim, a 60-year-old man, told police someone tried to gain access to his garage overnight, breaking a window and trying to kick in the door. It's estimated $1,200 in damage was done, according to the report.

BURGLARY: Police are investigating a reported burglary which took place at a vacant property between Nov. 12 and 10 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of Fairfield Avenue. The victim said someone entered the vacant property and stole copper pipe from the basement, which included the city water meter.

ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested following a traffic stop at 5:10 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of Hyde Park Boulevard. Marcetta Parmer, 31, 2488 Cleveland Ave., was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, driving with expired insurance and other violations after patrol stopped her. Upon questioning, police reportedly saw a child in the back seat wearing only a seat belt. When questioned, Parmer reportedly said she had a car seat for the child but didn't have it set up. She said she intended to set it up once they arrived at their destination. The vehicle was towed.
