Fallen apples reported stolen in Royalton

Niagara County Sheriff's deputies were called to a Riddle Road home on Thursday for a trespassing complaint.

The resident told deputies he suspects a neighbor has been coming onto his property and taking fallen apples from under his apple tree.

The resident said about 6 a.m. Thursday he noticed foot prints in the grass heading toward the apple tree from the neighbor's property. He said he thinks the neighbor came onto the property about 5 a.m. to grab some apples before heading out into the woods to hunt.

The resident estimated his neighbor has taken about two bushels of apples in recent days.
