Falls stabbing suspect caught

Niagara Gazette —

Falls police have located a suspect wanted in connection with a stabbing late Monday night.

Investigators said a 37-year-old Falls man walked into the emergency room of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center around 10:30 p.m. and told doctors he had been stabbed and had suffered three separate wounds.

The wounds were all to the left side of the victim’s chest.

The victim told detectives he was at his home in the 1100 block of Ferry Avenue when he got into a fight with a man he knew. The victim identified the man as Marc Madore.

A witness told police that Madore and the victim were arguing over a can of spray paint. The witness said Madore fought with the victim and then stabbed him with a hunting knife.

Investigators said the three wounds appeared to be a puncture wound to the chest and deep lacerations to the shoulder and the back of the victim’s head.

The victim was rushed to the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo for additional treatment. He is currently listed in serious condition.

Detectives said Madore fled from the crime scene before police arrived.

He was picked up by Falls police about 9 p.m. Tuesday night.

Madore was wanted on a charge of first-degree assault.

Anyone with information about the stabbing or Madore’s whereabouts is asked to contact Falls Police Criminal Investigations Division detectives at 286-4553.
