Sheriff's deputies arrested a Cheektowaga man for aggravated DWI after a Sunday night traffic stop on Wilson-Burt Road.

Deputies were sent to the area about 8 p.m. for a complaint of a reckless driver and they found the suspected vehicle parked on the shoulder of the road on Wilson-Burt Road.

Deputies found two men outside the pickup truck and ordered them back into the vehicle. The two men said they were brothers and they were having an argument. The men said they had come from a local bar and when the deputy asked how many drinks the driver of the car had to drink, he replied, "Too many."

The driver, Patrick J. Schrader, 42, 1138 Maryvale Drive, Cheektowaga, failed field sobriety tests and charged with DWI. The deputy said he noticed numerous open beer cans in the pickup truck. Asked again how much he'd had to drink, Schrader replied, "About 13."

After being brought to the sheriff's office, Schrader submitted to a chemical test which came back with a reading of 0.24 percent blood alcohol content — three times the legal limit.

He was charged with aggravated DWI (BAC more than 0.18 percent) drinking alcohol in vehicle and DWI.
