Police identify woman killed in Thursday's crash in Royalton

The woman killed in Thursday's crash involving a car and dump truck on Slayton Settlement and Orangeport roads Thursday has been identified as Traci A. Storms, 40, of Gasport.

Sheriff's investigators say Storms was driving south on Orangeport Road about 8 a.m. and failed to stop at a stop sign at Slayton Settlement Road. When she entered the intersection, her car was struck by the eastbound dump truck, driven by a 36-year-old Lockport man.

Both vehicles went off the roadway, striking a tree. Storms was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the dump truck was transported to Eastern Niagara Hospital-Lockport for minor injuries.

Gasport Chemical Hose, Wrights Corners and Terry's Corners Fire Companies responded, as did Tri-Town Ambulance and Niagara County Hazmat.
