BLOTTER: Police reports published Dec. 11

Niagara Falls

• SHOOTING: Police are investigating a shooting in the 500 block of Eighth Street. A 20-year-old man told officers he and another man were walking in that area at 5:30 p.m. Monday, when they heard what sounded like a firecracker. The other man told police the victim then fell to the ground with a gunshot wound to his lower left leg. 

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 700 block of Builders Way on Nov. 27. Lorence K. Dunn, 51, 633 16th St. Apt. 2, was charged with petit larceny. He is accused of taking more than $76 worth of plumbing fittings without paying for them.

• ARREST: A Niagara Falls High School student was arrested on Tuesday after what police called an "altercation with a faculty member." The 16-year-old, whose name is not being released, was charged with two counts of third-degree menacing and one count of second-degree harassment.
