TSA officer nabbed for drugs

Niagara Gazette — Authorities arrested a federal Transportation Security Administration officer in the town of Tonawanda for felony cocaine possession, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday. 

Todd W. Stoddard, 29, of Kingswood Drive, Cheektowaga, was arrested Thursday at 9 p.m. on Vicksburg Avenue in the town of Tonawanda following a traffic stop.

He was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia.  

Stoddard has been a TSA officer at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport since November of 2011, and was scheduled to be arraigned in town court Friday evening. 

The FBI Safe Streets Task Force, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office and Cheektowaga police had been investigating him for about a month.
