BLOTTER: Police reports published April 28

• THEFT: Police are investigating a reported theft from a vehicle that occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. while it was parked in a parking lot in the 700 block of Whilrpool Street. The owner, a 42-year-old man from Millersburg, Ohio, said he returned to his vehicle and found the locking mechanism pulled out of his driver’s side door. He said a laptop computer, his wife’s purse and a cellphone were taken from inside the vehicle. Overall damages and property valued $1,799. A pending charge of $540 at an unknown Home Depot location was also reported on the victim’s credit card.

 
• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested following an alleged shoplifting incident that occurred at 12:22 p.m. Friday from a store in the 1500 block of Military Road. Lisa Mort, 25, 3032 Lincoln St., was charged with petit larceny after a store security employee saw her take various items off store shelves, rip off price tags and stick them in a purse she was carrying, and she left the store without paying. He told police the purse was also stolen. The total value of the items was $93.23. She was reportedly in the store with another woman and two children, who were released from custody after security officials determined they weren’t involved, according to police.
