BLOTTER: Police reports published Oct. 26

Niagara Falls

• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into an attempted burglary in the 2400 block of Orleans Avenue. Police responded to a call of a burglary in progress at 5:03 a.m. Thursday and when they arrived they found a basement window of a home had been kicked-in. Officers said it did not appear that anyone had actually entered the home.

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at 7:35 p.m. Thursday. Tashara Shquiza Simmons, 33, 2711 Livingston Ave., was charged with petit larceny. Simmons is accused of taking more than $186 worth of merchandise without paying for the items.

• ARREST:  A Lockport man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at 7:45 p.m. Thursday. Ricky Fluellen, 53, 6363 Robinson Road, was charged with petit larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Fluellen is accused of taking two cell phones and two chargers without paying for them.
