Tourist's car ransacked in Falls hotel lot

A Hastings-on-Hudson resident reported to Falls police that about $6,500 worth of items were taken from their Jeep while it was parked in a hotel parking lot on the 100 block of Buffalo Avenue Saturday night.

A rear passenger-side window was shattered and items belonging to three people were taken from the vehicle.

Items included two laptops, a tablet computer, iPod Nano, a Louis Vuitton bag, a Tory Burch handbag, $900 worth of clothes and two passports.

In addition, one of the tourists contacted her credit card company who reported that a card taken from the Jeep had been used at a Niagara Falls Boulevard gas station.

Video surveillance evidence was being collected by police.
