• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a home break-in in the 700 block of Pierce Avenue. A 32-year-old man told officers at man showed up at his home at 4:27 p.m. Sunday and wanted to fight him. When the victim refused to come out of his house, the suspect broke a window in a door in the home and tried to unlock it. When he could not unlock the door, the suspect fled.

 
• THEFT: Police are investigating a reported theft at 9:15 p.m. Thursday from a convenience store in the 2600 block of Niagara Street. Employees said a black male, about 6-feet tall and 200 lbs., wearing a black sweatshirt and pants and a blue bubble jacket, entered the store and began taking health and beauty items from the store shelves. One employee said when she noticed the theft, the man got spooked and fled the scene, taking approximately $100 in product with him.

 
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested following a reported shoplifting incident at 3:20 a.m. Saturday from a corner store in the 600 block of 19th Street. Jimmy Garcia, 23, 181 67th St., was charged with petit larceny after police were notified of a theft in progress. When they arrived, Garcia was leaving the store and reportedly had a can of Four Loco beer in his pocket. The store employee told officers Garcia attempted to purchase the Four Loco but was denied since it was later than 3 a.m. The employee said Garcia walked back to the cooler and instead of putting the beer back, he put it in his pocket and left the store without paying.
