BLOTTER: Police reports published Dec. 29

— Niagara Falls

• Police officers responded to a report of a subject with a gun Thursday in the 600 block of Elmwood Avenue. Reports indicated that upon arrival an officer was met by a victim who said he was inside his mother’s apartment at around 2:40 p.m. Thursday when a verbal argument started among a group of individuals. The victim told police that one of the individuals in question wanted him to leave, but he refused to go. At that point, the victim said, the suspect went to an upstairs room and returned with a TEC-9 semi-automatic rifle, “cocked” the weapon in front of his face and pointed the gun at him stating “I’ll (expletive) kill you.” The victim said it was at that point that he told the suspect he was going to call the police, prompting the man holding the gun to flee out a backdoor and head southbound through neighboring yards.
A female witness interviewed by police indicated that at no time did she see a weapon displayed A second female witness reported the same thing. Reports indicated that the two witnesses in question refused to provide additional information and that a search of the surrounding area for the suspect was not successful. The matter remains under investigation.
