UPDATE: Motorcyclist killed in Cambria crash identified

A 20-year-old motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night after colliding with a minivan in the Town of Cambria.

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says Thomas J. Burley, 20, of Youngstown was killed in the crash.

Niagara County Sheriff's deputies say they were called to the intersection of North Ridge and Church roads about 9 p.m. for a report of an accident involving a motorcycle and a minivan.

The motorcyclist was found laying on the edge of the roadway in critical condition. EMS personnel from Cambria Volunteer Fire Co. were quickly on the scene and transported the driver of the motorcycle to Mount St. Mary's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies said it appeared the motorcycle was traveling west on North Ridge Road, crossed over the center line and was struck by the minivan, which was traveling east. The driver of the minivan was unharmed.

The accident is being investigated by the sheriff's accident investigation team.
