Niagara Falls police are investigating two Sunday robberies in the downtown area.

Police are looking for a pair of suspects in connection with the first robbery in the 400 block of Third Street.

A 31-year-old man told officers he was leaving an "after party" at a nearby bar and walking to his car, at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, when he was confronted by two male suspects.

The victim said the suspects forcibly took $27,000 worth of jewelry from him, including a $14,000 bracelet, a $8,500 chain and a $4,500 ring.

Officers are looking for a single suspect in connection with a Sunday afternoon robbery in the 600 block of Main Street.

A 19-year-old girl told police she was walking in the area at 3:06 p.m. Sunday, when she was punched in the back of the head and attacked by a man. The victim said the suspect tried to first take her earphones and then managed to get a hold of her wallet which contained a prepaid credit card with $300 on it and a $100 check.

The suspect was last seen running from Main Street into an alley behind the Post Office.
