— Niagara Falls

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after police received several reports of harassment at two businesses at 7:15 p.m. Friday in the vicinity of the 2400 block of Niagara Street. David Grimaldi, 45, 462 Portage Road, was charged with disorderly conduct after customers and employees of an ice cream business and a pizzeria complained of a man, reportedly covered in a brown substance believed to be feces, panhandling and attempting to take food. Police at the scene described him as highly intoxicated, with his pants halfway down exposing his soiled undergarments, yelling obscenities. He was reportedly taken into custody without incident.

 
• THEFT: Police are investigating a reported theft which occurred at 10:09 a.m. Friday at a convenience store in the 2300 block of Hyde Park Boulevard. A store employee said an unknown black male took a phone charger from the shelf and left without paying. The man is described as 5-foot-7 wearing a black jacket, black hooded sweatshirt and a black winter hat.

• ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: A 71-year-old Lake Road resident told police sometime Saturday night someone broke a padlock off the door of an unattached garage on his property and tried to enter the structure but was scared off by after they tripped a motion sensor and an audible alarm began sounding. Nothing was taken. The victim’s girlfriend told sheriff’s deputies she heard the alarm but didn’t know what time.
