(Continued)

• ARREST: A Sanborn woman was arrested following a traffic stop at 9:49 p.m. Friday at a drive-thru restaurant in the 1700 block of Pine Avenue. Sara Brzusek, 23, 4900 Townline Road, Sanborn, was charged with resisting arrest, failing to wear a seatbelt and unsafe backing after police report she was making several quick forward and backward movements in the drive-thru lane. Eventually, police said, she was facing the wrong direction and drove against the flow of traffic in the lane. Stopped in the parking lot, she reportedly told officers she was lost and had already driven through the drive-thru. Police issued her the tickets but when officers attempted to explain them, she began yelling and refused to accept the citations. Police said the tickets were placed on her lap but she said “no” and immediately crumpled them into a ball and threw them out the vehicle. Officers report instructing her to exit the vehicle because she was under arrest but she refused, resulting in officers reporting force being used to gain compliance. Police report Brzusek apologized in the police vehicle and pleaded to not be arrested. She was transported to headquarters without further incident, police said.
