FIRE CALLS: Niagara Falls fire reports published May 4

(Continued)

• FIRE: On April 25, a garbage can fire, at 4:06 a.m., spread to a shed in the 1100 block of Ashland Avenue. Engine 4 was able to quickly knock down the fire and keep the damage to $500.

 
• FIRE: On April 25, Platoon 2 was dispatched, at 6:07 a.m., to the 800 block of 16th Street for a garage fire. The unsecured detached garage stored a boat that was on fire when crews arrived . The cause is listed as intentional and damage to the boat and garage was pegged at $2,000.

 
• FIRE: On April 27, Platoon 3 rolled, at 2:08 p.m., to a call of a structure fire in the 500 block 19th Street. The fire, which was on the exterior of a garage, remains under investigation. Damages was estimated at $1,000.

 
• FIRE: On April 28, a report of a rubbish fire, at 4:58 a.m., in the 400 block of 18th Street, sent Engine 4 to the scene. A discarded mattress was found on fire, and there was damage to the building it was leaning against and also to an oil tank.
