BLOTTER: Police reports published Aug. 28

Niagara Falls

• THEFT: Police are investigating a theft from a business in the 7400 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. An employee told officers that sometime between 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Monday, someone down an electrical breaker to the store's trash compactor. The victim said 20 feet of electrical wire was cut from the compactor.

• THEFT: Officers are looking into a theft from the 8700 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. A business owner told police that sometime between 3 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Monday, someone tried to cut the copper refrigerant line to an air conditioning unit. The victim said a second unit had its electrical wiring cut and was stolen.
