Pine Avenue store robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night

Falls police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store on the 1500 block of Pine Avenue about 11 p.m. Tuesday involving two armed men in masks.

An employee told police they were behind the counter with another employee when the two men came in. One of the men had a rifle, possibly a .22-caliber rifle and he demanded the register be opened.

The employee said the suspect pointed the gun at his face and said, "Put your hands up (expletive), don't press any buttons and give me all the money."

The suspect was described as a black male being between 15 and 18 years old. The other suspect, described as a white male, between 15 and 19, handed over a bag and the employee put $35 into it. The two men fled the store and ran down the alley behind the store.

Police searched the area for the suspects but could not locate them.
