BLOTTER: Police reports published April 2

Niagara Falls

• SHOOTING: Police are investigating a pair of shootings in the 2700 block of 22nd Street. The first incident occurred at 6:40 p.m. Sunday. Officers said they spoke to a 61-year-old man who told them he heard two gunshots come from the direction of the alley behind his apartment. The victim said he went outside and found two bullet holes in his 2001 Hyundai Sonata. Other witnesses said they also heard the gunshots and saw a dark, charcoal colored BMW speeding away from the scene. The witnesses said there was a driver and passenger in the BMW. At 8:47 p.m., the victim again called police and reported that he had heard four gun shots coming from the alley. The victim said he observed three additional bullet holes in his car, including one that blew out the driver's-side front tire. Police said they recovered a spent shell casing at the scene.

 
• THEFT: Officers are looking into a car break-in in the 8500 block of Krull Parkway. A 21-year-old man told police that sometime between 6 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, someone broke into his 2001 Hyundai Accent by unknown means. The victim said the car radio, a GPS system and a radar detector were taken.
