Niagara Gazette — The Niagara County Sheriff's Office reports a juvenile suspect was apprehended early Wednesday morning after several vehicles were broken into in the village of Wilson.

A Wood Street man said he saw three males going through his car about 3:30 a.m.Wednesday and managed to grab one of them, a juvenile. The other two youths ran off into some nearby woods. The youth was charged with petit larceny and turned over to his parents.

One Lake Street victim reported to a deputy that someone entered her unlocked car overnight Tuesday and stole a Samsung Slider cell phone, a black leather purse, her driver's license and three credit/debit cards.

The office has fielded several reports of car break-ins on Wednesday. Residents are advised to check their vehicles and report any thefts to the sheriff's office.

The office also reminds all Niagara County residents to take valuables inside and to lock their cars. If anyone sees suspicious activity, call 911 and report it.
