A 24-year-old Town of Lockport man has been charged in connection with one of Sunday's Lockport-area armed robberies, according to Niagara County Sheriff James Voutour.
Todd M. Delavalle Jr. was charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and petit larceny. He is being held on $100,000 bail.
In a joint raid with the U.S. Marshals Service Tuesday, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office raided a Robinson Place residence in the City of Lockport, the Sheriff's Office said. The New York State Police are involved as well.
An investigation is still continuing, a press release stated.
There were three robberies in an eight-hour span on Sunday, between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Delavalle is charged in connection with the first robbery at a NOCO station on Transit Road, which was hit around 3:20 p.m.
Later Sunday, Crosby's at 7953 Rochester Road in Gasport was robbed around 6:30, and a Sunoco on the corner of South Transit and Robinson roads was robbed just before 11 p.m.
Sheriff's officials said Monday they thought the crimes were related.
