Worker at service facility charged after fight

Deputies arrested an employee of an organization that services those with developmental disabilities following a fight on the Niagara Falls Boulevard property on Thursday morning.

When they arrived about 9:30 a.m., deputies found a 52-year-old Falls man, a bus aide, sitting on a bench bleeding from a cut to the face. It also appeared he had a broken nose and large contusion to his forehead.

Deputies found the other man involved in the fight, a worker at the facility. He told them there has been ongoing verbal abuse between the two men and escalated into a fight Thursday after the aide used a racial epithet while a bus was dropping off consumers at the facility.

The worker stormed onto the bus and attacked the aide. Employees separated the men before deputies arrived.

The worker at the facility was charged and taken into custody but the report did not fully identify him or list the charges.
