BLOTTER: Police reports published Oct. 19

Town of Lockport

ASSAULT: Gregory J. Peterkin, 28, Lockport was charged Thursday with third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, first-degree felony unlawful imprisonment and felony aggravated criminal contempt. New York State Police said Peterkin was arrested for an incident that occurred Oct. 12.

PRISON CONTRABAND: The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday a Niagara County Jail inmate reportedly was found with a suspected drug-like substance in his possession. A deputy said Jose A. Irizarry, 28, 610 24th St., Niagara Falls, was charged with introducing contraband into prison. He reportedly had four chunks of the substance, which Irizarry said was fake crack he was trying to sell. He is set to appear Oct. 24 in Lockport Town Court.
