BLOTTER: Police reports published Sept. 20

Niagara Falls 

• THEFT: Police are investigating a theft in the 5600 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. A 54-year-old man told officers that sometime between 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday, someone broke into a trailer by unknown means. The victim said more than $2,000 worth of tools were taken.

City of Lockport

• CHARGED: Vanessa M. Swan, 20, 453 Walnut St., was charged with falsely reporting an incident Wednesday. According to the arrest report, in August Swan gave a statement in which she said she was a victim of domestic violence. She allegedly lied in order to obtain an order of protection so that the man would be evicted from the apartment. She recanted her statement in court, police said.

North Tonawanda

• LEAVING THE SCENE: Amber L. Moore, 26, 310 Oliver St., Apt. A-1, was charged at 11:11 a.m. Thursday with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and third-degree aggravate unauthorized operation of a motor vehicle. She was released on her own recognizance.
