BLOTTER: Police reports published April 17

Niagara Falls

 
• THEFT: Officers are looking into a theft in the 1900 block of New Jersey Avenue. An auto storage yard owner told police that sometime between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday someone broke into the yard by cutting a hole through a fence. The victim said six rims and tires were taken from two vehicles in the storage yard.

 
• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 3800 block of Highland Avenue. A security guard at an industrial property told police that two suspects had broken through the rear door of a vacant building on the property at 9:31 a.m. Monday. No suspects were located at that time.

 
• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 1600 block of Niagara Avenue. An 83-year-old woman told police that sometime between 5 p.m. Saturday and 12:01 a.m. Sunday someone broke into his garage by knocking the door off its track. The victim said four aluminum ladders, a snowblower and a grill were taken.

 
• THEFT: Police are investigating a car break-in in the 1500 block of Military Road. A 25-year-old woman told officers that sometime between 11:30 am. and 12:45 p.m. Monday someone broke into her car by smashing a rear passenger-side window. The victim said her purse was taken.

 
• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 700 block of Eighth Street. A 31-year-old man told police that sometime between 4 p.m. Saturday and 1:43 p.m. Monday someone broke into his property by unknown means. The victim said an air compressor, a framing gun, a circular saw and some hose was taken.
