NIAGARA FALLS — An employee of a Family Dollar store on the 1300 block of Pine Avenue was attacked and stabbed outside the business about 10:30 p.m. Monday, according to Falls police.

The victim, a 46-year-old man, said he had left the store and went out to his car to go home and discovered one of the car’s tires was flat. The victim began changing the tire when two men dressed all in black with “respirator-type masks” covering their faces ran from the rear of the store and confronted him.

One of the men said, “Give me all the money or I’ll stick you.”

The victim said as he took a step back and one of the men tried to spray him in the face with a mace-like substance. He began struggling with the two men and felt a pain under his left armpit area. The victim broke away from the suspects and fled to a nearby store where police met up with him.

The suspects were last seen running south in the 600 block of 13th Street. Police searched the area but couldn't find the suspects.

The victim was eventually taken to ECMC for medical treatment.
