Motorcyclist dies in Thruway crash

A motorcycle crash left one person dead Sunday morning, on the I-190 South ramp to I-290 East.
The accident happened about 10:30 a.m., as the operator of the motorcycle was headed from the I-190 south to the I-290 east. Further details were unavailable.
The ramps from the I-190 Niagara Section to the I-290 Youngmann Expressway were closed for most of the day as investigators combed over the scene.

• ARREST: A Falls man was given an appearance ticket after being reportedly identified as suspicious by officers at 1:59 p.m. Friday while sitting in a vehicle in the 100 block of 86th Street. David Wilson, 18, 1809 Walnut St., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after police report noticing a vehicle sitting in an area where no cars should have been on the roadway. Upon approach, police report, a smell of marijuana was in the air. When asked, Wilson, who was reportedly nervous, admitted to having marijuana in his vehicle, according to police.

• ARREST: A Town of Niagara man was arrested following an incident which occurred at 11:35 a.m. Friday at a store in the 1600 block of Main Street. David Grimaldi, 45, 1508 Tuscarora Road, was charged with trespass when the shift manager of the store reportedly asked him to leave and he refused. When police arrived, he was reportedly taken into custody and said “I should know, she has told me before.”
