BLOTTER: Police reports published Oct. 6

CHARGED: Steven A. Thompson, 27, 2080 River Road was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance Thursday. Probation officer made a surprise home visit at River Road Lot 19 and observed several items consisting of various drugs and drug paraphernalia. Officers found cutting equipment, a pipe, spoon and various prescription drugs.

CONTRABAND: Renee Lynn Harris, 42, 5986 South Hewitt Drive, Lewiston was charged with introducing contraband into a prison Thursday. According to the arrest report, Harris entred the Niagara County Jail with 55 white pills and four yellow pills hidden in her walking cane. The officer checked the cane and heard something rattling inside. The pills were placed in a plastic evidence bags for further processing.
