The remains of a homeowner who police say set his house on fire in a domestic dispute have been found inside the western New York home.

Town of Tonawanda Police Lt. Nicholas Bado says the remains of 60-year-old Joe Hollywood were found Monday afternoon after the fire burned out. Firefighters stayed back because they believed Hollywood was armed. The cause of death was unknown.

Police received a 911 call at 9:15 a.m. Monday from a female acquaintance who said Hollywood had threatened her with a gun and set the house on fire.

Local media report that Hollywood legally changed his name from Joseph Bryniarski 10 years ago and was charged in 2000 with disorderly conduct while dressed as Santa at a Buffalo Bills game. There had been 18 more encounters with police since 2003.
