Shotguns taken in burglary

Niagara County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home on the 2200 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard on Tuesday for a burglary report.

The resident said that sometime between Saturday and Monday someone smashed a bedroom window and took two shotguns and $800 from the home.

The resident said the guns were "old" and serial numbers could not be provided.

A possible suspect was provided to deputies.

• THEFT: Officers are looking into a theft in the1800 block of Niagara Avenue. A 74-year-old man told police that sometime between 2 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday someone stole his red International Harvester trailer from the alley behind his garage.

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 1100 block of Garden Avenue. A 48-year-old man told officers that sometime between 4 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Monday someone broke into his home by breaking a basement window. The victim said the home was ransacked and some copper pipe in the basement had been cut. Also taken was an antique chandelier.

• THEFT: Officers are looking into a van break-in in the 1100 block of Pasadena Avenue. A 31-year-old woman told police that sometime between 8 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday someone entered her unlocked 2006 Toyota Sienna. The victim said her purse and some medication was taken.
