BLOTTER: Police reports published July 30

Niagara Falls

• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 1600 block of South Avenue. A 32-year-old man told police that sometime between 5:30 p.m. Thursday and 6 p.m. Sunday someone broke into his garage by unknown means. The victim said three weed whackers, three chain saws and a bicycle were taken.

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 400 block of Fifth Street. A 49-year-old man told officers that sometime between 9 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Sunday someone broke into his home through a rear window. The victim said a computer, two TVs and two gold chains were taken.

• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 600 block of 18th Street. A 39-year-old woman told police that sometime between 6 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday someone broke into her home by forcing open the front door. The victim said a Nintendo Wii game system, an Xbox 360 game system and two TVs were taken.

North Tonawanda

• IMPERSONATION: Tommika E. Robinson, 541 21st St., Niagara Falls, was charged at 7:49 p.m. Saturday on Niagara Falls Boulevard with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and false impersonation. She was held for court in lieu of $500 bail. 

 

City of Lockport

• ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Deandre M. Mathews, 22, 1828 North Ave., Niagara Falls, was charged with second-degree attempted burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree obstructing government administration and resisting arrest late Sunday. A patrol officer investigating a tip about a possible burglary in progress at 255 Genesee St. encountered Mathews outside the residence. Mathews would not submit to questioning by the officer and ran through the back yard, over a fence onto residential property on Elm Court, where the officer subdued Mathews after a brief struggle, according to the arrest report. Mathews was arraigned on the charges Monday in City Court.
