Falls police arrested a 24-year-old Falls man in connection with a Wednesday night shooting at 11th Street and Ontario Avenue.

Just before midnight, police say Javon Ellison shot a 23-year-old man in the abdomen. The victim was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center by his girlfriend and then rushed to ECMC by ambulance. He’s currently in stable condition.

Thursday night around 7:30 p.m., Falls detectives along with Niagara County Probation officers took Ellison into custody at an apartment on Falls Street.

Ellison is charged with first-degree assault, second-degree criminal use of a firearm and second-degree menacing.
